On 19 March 2024, CoRE-SDO delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Singapore Standardisation Programme as part of the curriculum offered by the International Medical Device School (IMDS).

IMDS, established by ARQon and ARPA in 2019 across Singapore, China, Korea, and Europe, serves as a premier platform for providing rigorous training to professionals in the MedTech industry, focusing on the entire lifecycle of medical devices.
The presentation, attended by approximately 30 industry experts, drew participants from local organisations including Temasek Polytechnic, HealthTec, Gs1, Intuitive, NUS, CooperSurgical Origio, Biosense Diagnostics, Cardinal Health, Edwards LifeSciences, Roche Diagnostics, National Healthcare Group, and GL INTER-AGO.

During the session, attendees were immersed in a deep dive into the national standardisation programme, gaining insights into the various types of standards, the intricate process involved in standard development, the global landscape of standardisation, and avenues for professionals to actively engage and contribute.
Looking ahead, CoRE-SDO is committed to offering similar educational programs through various platforms in the forthcoming year, with the aim of further empowering industry professionals and fostering collaboration within the biomedical and healthcare sector.
