
Background
In April 2023, the Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) at Duke-NUS Medical School, appointed by Enterprise Singapore, established a new Standards Development Organisation (SDO).
Our Mission
The CoRE-SDO is dedicated to develop and promote Singapore Standards by providing support for the Biomedical and Health Standards Committee (BHSC), its Technical Committees (TCs) and Working Groups (WGs).
Our Approach
Identify, develop and review standards work item proposals (WIPs)
- Engage stakeholders through strategic planning sessions and dialogues to identify, develop and review standards work item proposals prior to development or review
Manage standards development
- Manage committees and recruit new standards partners
- Support Singapore’s participation in ISO/IEC Technical Committees and hosting key ISO/IEC standards meetings in Singapore
Promote standards
- Organise outreach events such as standard launches and standards awareness workshops
- Profile benefits of standards through media, case studies and caselets
